I recently conducted a survey of my newsletter readers to get a feel for the state of blogging in the small business world.
The biggest surprise for me was the fact that a large number of respondents (60 percent) still aren’t convinced that blogs are worth the work.
Bottom line though was that, for those who do blog, the greatest return came to those who admitted to posting at least 3 times a week. You can see an overview of the survey here.
Blogs are a great tool to help integrate your entire marketing system. The hype that surrounded them over the last 6 months or so has left many viewing them as some new hot trend that they better hop on before it’s too late. Never mind trying to learn the how and why.
It’s never too late to implement an effective tool in an effective manner – figure out what you want from a blog, commit to posting relevant content, take a stand for a point of view in your industry and have a good time doing it. Then you will understand the benefits of blogging.
Thanks to the 488 Duct Tape Newsletter readers who participated in the survey!
