For too many small business owners, marketing is advertising or lead generation and that’s about it.
Sure without leads you have much but, marketing is so much more than that if done correctly.
What good is a bucket of leads if you don’t sell anything?
Marketing consists of 3 primary functions. Okay, I know it’s really a whole bunch more than that but find a way to get good at these 3 and it’s game over.
1.) Qualified Lead Generation – If you can’t make the phone ring you’ve got issues.
2.) Consistent Lead Conversion – Turn those leads into clients
3.) Systematic Client Regeneration – (I may have stretched a bit for this term but I do like it.) Re selling your current clients or leveraging your relationship with your current clients to create more business is the most powerful way to grow your business quickly.
These 3 marketing functions go hand in hand and unless and until you create a successful process for all 3, your marketing efforts are doomed.
