A print shop client recently started “Free Friday File Fun.” Each Friday
afternoon they invite customers and select prospects to learn the best
way to prepare and save files to give them to a service provider.
The idea was born out of the fact that many of their small business
clients had just enough graphic design know-how to get a basic
design done but then brought in all sorts of “unoutputable” files to
get printed.
Now they host a weekly workshop and offer free software training
and tips to show their clients “how to be better customers.”
Of course, prospects want to attend and referrals are up too.
